This section defines the leave location grade setup in SmartHCM.

Introduction:
This is the setup screen of Leave Management module. It is used for defining rules of any leave in every location or grade. There are particular rules of leave for particular location or grade.
There are different types of leaves present in Leave Type.
And for defining rules of these leaves, we have Leave Location Grade Setup.
Leave Setting:
Different blocks of rules are available here. On the top left corner of screen we have
button from where we can open leave type and then define all the rules of that leave.
We can save particular rules of some leaves for particular location and grade.
Leave Balance Entitlement Settings:
here present all the balance related rules of leave.
- Firstly there present a checkbox.
If you check this, it means some balances would be given for this leave and if you uncheck this it means no balances would be given with this leave. For balance based leave, there are some rules.
- Two options are present for entitlement cycle.
- Leave Year (define by company)
- Custom Cycle (we can choose cycle depend on Days, Months or Years)
Is we choose custom cycle we have to define that how much days a cycle contains.
- When balances should be given to new employees who joins between the leave year.
- How much balances should be given (depend on service tenure).
- Either remaining balances should transfer to next year or not.
Leave Request Settings:
here present all the rules applied when someone requests the leave.
- When someone can request for leave. For example: after joining,confirmation or number od months (could be any).
If choose particular number of months then a checkbox is available.
If you check this ,it means these no. of days also apply in HCM site. i.e if you define 30 days in this setup screen, one also cannot apply in HCM before 30 days.
- How many times this leave cou;d be applies.
- How many leaves are allowed in particular time period.
- Min or max limit of leave days should also defined in single leave request.
- There is Error creating thumbnail: File missingbutton present for some special rules.
- Some check boxes are also available, use to define more rules.
- There is scale for before/after leave days from current date.
Advance Salary Settings:
- Minimum how many days leave should requested to get advance salary.
- How many advance salaries should be given with leaves.
Leave Encashment Settings:
here present all the encashment related rules of leave.
- Either encashment of this leave is allowed or not
- Max limit of encashment in particular time period
- Encashment Formula is available to calculate encashment amount
- Three ways to give leave encashment 1) By Leave Encashment Screen 2) With Payroll 3) With final settlement (at the time of separation)
Final Settlement Settings:
here present all the rules applied when encashment is given with final settlement.
- Auto calculate of remaining balances on final settlement.
- If yearly cycle is selected in leave balance entitlement then two more check boxes are available of prohibit the encashment if employee separates before the year ends.
