Introduction
Grades play a major role throughout the system, most the Payroll and Time office management modules depend on it. In SmartHCM grades are specified against Employee Type and Employment Type.

Grade
- Employee Type: Select Employee Type on which you want to create grade (Mandatory).
- Employment Type: Employment Type is also a mandatory field.

- Grade ID: A user defined 3-digit Grade ID.
- Grade Name: A user defined name of the grade.
- Description
- Level No: An integer value. Lower level means higher grade.
- Salary R. From: Starting value of salary for any particular grade.
- Salary R. To: Final value of salary for any particular grade.
